  Abstracts must be written in English. Only one abstract is allowed per subscription.

Abstracts must include original data (clinical and non-clinical) related to the neurobiological basis of mental disorders and/or been in the scope of Neuroscience. Abstracts describing only reviews from the literature will not be accepted.

  A brief description of the rationale of the Project, the metodology used, including statistical analysis with reference to the statistical level (e.g. p < 0.05 or p > 0.05).

  The mais results must be highlighted in the Conclusion. Descriptions such as “Results will be discussed elsewhere” will not be accepted.

 

  >> All abstracts must have been submitted to an Ethical Committee (Human and Non-Human). The protocol number must be informed in the subscription form with a copy of the authorization certificate.

>> Abstract criteria for acceptance

   Abstracts will be analysed by the Organizing Committee. In case  an abstract lacks information and/or presents inconsistencies it will be returned to the authors for correction.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject proposals

that do not fit the rules described herein.

Submitting your abstract ...
​
  • Abstracts must be written in English, containing only text, and figures and / or tables are not allowed.

  • The abstract should be structured in sections such as: Introduction, Methodology, Results and Conclusions. Each section should start in a new paragraph.

  • The sources of funding (funding agencies) should be indicated at the end of the abstract (see specific field), also informing the process number, if any.

  • The abstract, excluding title and authors (and author information), should not exceed 400 words.

  • If necessary, bibliographic references to be included in the abstract should be written in the following format: first author's name, followed by et al.. When more than two authors, year, journal name, volume and page.

  • Only abbreviate units of measure. If other abbreviations are used, they should be identified in the text, when first mentioned, followed by the abbreviation used in parentheses.

  • The author responsible for the presentation of the work must be indicated by the asterisk symbol (*). The affiliation of the authors must be indicated by numbers.

 Instructions for Poster Sessions

 

  • Posters presentation will be virtual and must be presented in one of the following options:

 

 

1st option: PDF file

 

  • File content must be in Portrait format  with high resolution and must contain the title of the abstract and all authors names and affiliation. The name of the author presenting the work must be underlined.

  • Poster must contain introduction, methodology, results and discussion sessions, as well as references and financial support if applied.

  • The PDF file must be sent by email (iseres2020@gmail.com) to the Organizing Committe until October 12th, 2020.

2nd option: video format

​

  • The presenting author must record a video up to 3 minutes duration and send it (or the link related) to the Organizing Committe until October 12th, 2020. The Organizing Committee strongly suggests using Google Meet for this purpose.

  • The video must include all the contents of the abstract including introduction, methodology, results and discussion sessions, as well as references and financial support if applied.

 

 

All files (PDF and video) will be available to the participants of the symposium.

Instructions and information on how to access these files will be given opportunately.

All authors must be available and connected throughout the poster session. Instructions and information on how to attend this session will be available soon.

​

​

The certificate of poster presentation will be sent by email to the main author after the symposium.
